Child Protection
Introduction
The vast majority of people involved in sporting activities derive interest and pleasure from the photos captured by DE Photo and from the enjoyment shown by the participants. Events, by their nature, are in the public arena and when entering for an event the participant acknowledges this fact, and that at least professionally approved photographers may take photographs. DE Photo will take all reasonable precautions to protect participants against the possible inappropriate use of photographic images. DE Photo has a duty of care to safeguard all children from harm. DE Photo will ensure the safety and protection of all children at events where DE Photo are in attendance through adherence to the Child Protection Policy adopted by DE Photo. The DE Photo Code of Ethics of Conduct is adhered to by all our photographers and staff. Photographers and staff: - will only attend an event in an official capacity where invited to do so by the organisers
Photographs: - All children photographed must be appropriately dressed for the sport in which they are participating. Where a participant removes any item of clothing photos must not be taken
Website: - All images are protected from download as far is technically possible at the time of publication
DE Photo respects the guidelines issued by a number of organisations and sporting bodies, full details of which can be viewed at the links below: NSPCC
